This report was handed to Mr. Monson by Mr. Morris and has been referred to in subsequent discussions with Mr. Morris, so that it is unnecesary to send an acknowledgment (especially as Mr. Morris has now gone to Australia).

In addition to this report, Mr. Morris has prepared most useful technical report on the subject of the telecommunications and electric equipment in Hong Kong, of which a copy has been given to the Hong Kong Planning Unit. Mr. Morris has also had talks with Mr. Rouse.

So far therefore as the Colonial Office is concerned, no further action is now required on

this file, and I agree that the report might now be lent to M.I.2.
